Andy's looking forward to playing tracks from his new funky spoken word album 'Good Luck I Hope You Make It' at one of his rare Melbourne shows on June 6. The Merri Creek Tavern is tiny, and passionate. Get in early!
Born in Belfast, Andy's first EP 'Religious Persuasion' blew the doors off the indie charts in post-punk Ireland. A series of literary acoustic/electric albums starting with 'Rave on Andy White' caught the UK zeitgeist and took off around the world, bringing him with them.
Andy arrived in Australia with Tim Finn and Liam O Maonlai as the A of ALT, and has been based here on and off ever since, writing with Peter Gabriel, Kev Carmody and Christine Anu. In 2023 he followed solo career highlight 'This garden is only temporary' with 'AT', a duo album with Tim.
'Good Luck I Hope You Make It' finds Andy going back to his first EP. It's all about the bass, beats, and spoken word. The Australian launch is an exclusive presentation of the new songs, plus he'll play whatever tracks you want to hear from his his back catalogue.
Good luck we hope you make it.
