Welcome to our online event where we explore the concept of mindful eating and so much more!

Diets are ineffective in part because they are based on unsustainable rules created by an expert for you to follow. This outside-in approach keeps the dieter focused on compliance with the rules, requiring willpower indefinitely. The more they restrict their intake the more deprived they feel and the more likely they will overeat. This leads to yo-yo dieting and weight cycling, frustration, guilt and feelings of helplessness. The Am I Hungry? Online Mindful Eating Program’s inside-out approach will show you how to tune into your body and meet your needs and tune out the constant drumbeat from "diet culture".

Do I have to attend all 8 zoom meetings?

It is really helpful to attend all 8 as they are not being recorded for the privacy of attendees and the information is cumulative building on each week's content. We understand life sometimes serves curveballs and you might need to miss one. Plan to attend them all for your sake.

How do I do Zoom?

Find someone in your life that can help you. If you are really stuck we can send you instructions. I think the pandemic taught most of us to be familiar with Zooming.

Isn't mindful eating just about really tasting the food?

Mindful eating is about so much more than just enjoying what you eat with all your senses. It is about being aware of how, where, why and what you eat and why you want to eat with you are not hungry. Discovering and fulfilling non-hungry needs is critical as no amount of food will satisfy them.

Why does it cost to attend?

This is a program that gives you lots of time to unpack the key issues for you in 8 x 90 minutes sessions. If you put in the effort there will be lots of things you learn about yourself, what drives your behaviours and how to help yourself heal your relationship with food and your body.
