Date and time

Wednesday, April 24 · 9:30am - 12:30pm AEST

Location

Holiday Inn Werribee, an IHG Hotel

22 Synnot Street Werribee, VIC 3030 Australia

About this event

The changes are intended to encourage more employers to engage in enterprise agreement making and will also provide unions with greater capacity to require employers to engage in bargaining.

It is imperative for organisations to review their strategy and approach to bargaining.

Additionally, employers are facing the need to navigate increasingly difficult economic conditions, ambitious union agendas and a tight labour market.

Ai Group will be conducting a series of workshops to assist employers to prepare for enterprise bargaining with unions and/or their workforce. The workshops will be structured to provide participants with the knowledge and tools to achieve the best possible outcome in their next agreement, including by assisting participants to:

  • Understand the key bargaining related changes introduced through the recent amendments to Fair Work Act 2009 and related strategic considerations.
  • identify the key issues for the Company, Unions and Employees in negotiations;
  • assess the effectiveness of their current agreement and identify potential areas for change; and
  • develop planning, communication, and negotiation strategies.

The 3-hour workshop will include a presentation on the regulatory change as well interactive activities.

In order to maximise participation and learnings, each workshop will have a maximum capacity of 36 attendees. Please note: Due to a limited capacity for these events, tickets will be limited to a maximum of 2 attendees from each company.

These events will be facilitated by Ai Group’s Vasuki Paul, Director – Workplace Relations Policy and/or other experienced IR practitioners.
