Do you administer the WISC-V? Do you want to develop a better understanding of what the sub-tests, sub-domains, and summary scores actually mean, what conceptual and academic domains they map onto, and how this impacts the child in the real world? Do you want to get better at communicating this information in lay-terms to parents and teachers and give more meaningful recommendations? This training, run by Clinical Neuropsychologist Dr Michelle Livock, will provide these insights and more.

This training provides advanced interpretation of the WISC-V assessment, for psychologists and guidance counsellors, who are wanting to (1) deepen their understanding of this foundational assessment tool, and (2) hone their ability to provide clear and usable feedback to parents, children, and educators following assessment.

Please note, your AHPRA registration (or equivalent registration with your national health regulatory body) will be required at the time of booking.

This training will cover:

1. Underlying cognitive skills and neurobiology underpinning the WISC-V subtests and subdomains.

2. Functional translation of these skills – what do these skills actually look like at home and school?

3. Common cognitive profiles for neurodivergent kids (including Autism, ADHD, and learning disorders) and how to identify and interpret these.

4. Beyond the index scores – what other scores and data should we be looking out for and what do they mean?

5. Feedback and reporting of WISC-V results.

6. Case examples – detailed interpretation of three different WISC-V assessments.

What’s included for ticket holders:

- Access to the live webinar with time for questions and discussion.

- 3 month access to the recording (so you can watch later, if you can’t attend live!)

- Template for a WISC-V report write up.

- Checklist for behavioural and process observations to look out for during the assessment.

- List of recommendations to support learning and development across each WISC-V subdomain.
