About this event

  • 6 hours

This event is a must-attend for anyone passionate about Indigenous health or eager to broaden their understanding of this critical area.

The conference boasts an impressive lineup of speakers, including Indigenous health experts and community leaders from a wide range of fields such as physicians, researchers, and community health professionals. Our theme for this year is simple and we believe it gives us the opportunity to reflect on both the meaning of the Voice referendum and the words of Indigenous rights activist, Dr O’Donoghue: “Listen”. We will have speakers with a range of experience in the Indigenous health sphere from advocacy and policy to clinical. We hope to facilitate a lot of listening.

Here's a glimpse of what you can expect:

  • Health-specific cultural safety workshop
  • 'You Can't Ask That' session to address burning questions
  • Updates on research in the health space
  • Trade tables run by some awesome organisations with merch and information
  • Your ticket includes perks such as a goodie bag, fully catered lunch, and afternoon tea!

If you have any questions leading up to the event or are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander origin (you are entitled to a free ticket!!) please reach out to Burnum at u7896804@anu.edu.au.
