Activate group registration on your event

Group registration lets attendees join groups for your event. Group registration isn't required for attendees to buy groups of tickets. Instead, this feature is best for team events. Go to “Order form” and select, “Activate group registration” to get started.

<h2 id="01">Before you start</h2> <p>☑️ You’re running an event where attendees create teams, such as an endurance or athletic event.</p> <p>☑️ Your event doesn’t use any of the following:</p> <ul><li>Reserved seating</li><li>Repeating event schedule</li><li>Advanced privacy settings (password protection and invitation only)</li></ul> <p>☑️ You must collect information on each attendee.</p> <p>☑️ You have a Professional or Premium Eventbrite account.</p> <p>☑️ Group registration isn’t required to let attendees buy tickets for their friends or family. If you want to set up group tickets, follow <a href="" target="_blank">these steps instead.</a></p> <h2 id="02">1.Go to your Event Dashboard.</h2> <p>Go to <b>Manage events</b> in your account. Then select your event.</p> <h2 id="03">2. Go to “Order form” (under “Order options”).</h2> <h2 id="04">3. Click “Activate group registration”.</h2> <h2 id="05">4. Customise your group registration.</h2> <p>Choose from the following options:</p> <ul><li><b>Group type</b> —Select which type of group makes the most sense for your event.</li><li><b>Max attendees per group</b> — Choose how many attendees can join each group. Set to 0 for unlimited.</li></ul> <h2 id="06">5. Select the ticket types you want for your group registration.</h2> <p>You must select at least one ticket type. When you select a ticket, you can also turn on:</p> <ul><li><b>Group registrants only</b> — attendees who select this ticket type must join a group.</li><li><b>Do not display registrants on group page</b> — attendees who join a group with this ticket type won’t see the other members of the group.</li></ul> <h2 id="07">6. Type in a default “Group page headline” and “Group page description”.</h2> <p>This is the default messaging in each group page. Group managers will be able to change this messaging from their Eventbrite account.</p> <h2 id="08">7. Review the optional settings.</h2> <p>You can:</p> <ul><li>Let group managers set a password. Groups without a password are free to join by any attendees.</li><li>Let group managers set a preferred start time. This is best for endurance events where attendees participate in waves. You can also turn this on for individual attendees.</li></ul> <h2 id="09">8. Save your changes.</h2> <h2 id="10">9. Optional: Remove group registration.</h2> <p>To remove group registration, select <b>Disable</b>.
