Manage your payout schedule

If you're using Eventbrite Payment Processing to collect payments, you can receive payouts before your events take place. After you create your event and add your bank account, choose to receive payouts twice a month or weekly on Wednesdays.

Before you start

  • Scheduled payouts are sent before your event occurs and stop when your event ends. Eventbrite sends your final payout 3 days after the completion of your event.

  • If you change your payout schedule after payouts have already been processed for the day, your first scheduled payout will be sent on the next payout date according to the schedule you select.

  • The payout schedule you choose applies to all events in your Eventbrite account that use Eventbrite Payment Processing.

  • Scheduled payouts are not available for events with check payout methods (US only).

  • Only the account owner or admins can apply for scheduled payouts. If you don’t see the option, check with your account owner to make sure you have the right permissions on your account.

Payout schedules

You can choose between the following payout schedules:

  • After your event: We'll start processing a single payout 3 days after your event's end date.

  • Twice a month: Payouts start processing on the 1st and 15th of the month.

  • Every week: Payouts start processing weekly on Wednesdays.

In the U.S., it takes up to 5 business days (7 business days internationally) for the funds to show in your account once a payout is sent.

Payout cap

A payout cap is the total amount Eventbrite will send across all events in your organization before your event(s) end.

You’ll be able to receive up to $100,000 USD (or the equivalent in your currency) across all live events in your organization.

This is a “rolling” cap that resets as you successfully complete events. Once an event ends and Eventbrite sends your final payout, the amount paid out for that event no longer counts toward the cap.

Payout reserve

Eventbrite will hold 20% of your scheduled payouts (calculated on a per-payout, per-event basis) to cover potential attendee refunds, chargebacks, and cancellations.

If the amount of your remaining payout for an event falls below 20%, no additional scheduled payouts will be made until you sell more tickets for that event.

Eventbrite sends your final payout 3 days after you have successfully completed your event.  Any amount held in reserve leading up to your event will be included in your final payout.

Set your payout schedule

Log in to your Eventbrite account and go to your Finance workspace. Then:

  1. Select Settings.

  2. Choose Bank accounts.

  3. Add your bank account and click Save.

  4. Select Payout schedule.

  5. Choose After each event, Weekly, or Twice a month.

  6. Click Confirm schedule

Your chosen payout schedule is applied immediately, and payouts will begin processing on the next eligible payout date.

Calculating payouts

You can view a summary of all sent or upcoming payouts from Eventbrite under Finance.

  • Upcoming: Payouts that haven't started processing. Once you've sold tickets to an event, the future payout will be displayed here.

  • Payouts: Payouts that are currently processing or sent. Your event's payout begins processing 3 days after the event completes or on the custom payout schedule you’ve selected.

For a breakdown of a specific payout:

  1. Go to Finance.

  2. Select a payout (under Payouts).

  3. View the net ticket sales and total payout amount.

The reserve is calculated on your net sales at the time the payout was sent. Your payout amount will adjust if any charges or credits were applied to that payout.

Change your payout schedule

You can change your payout schedule at any time. Go to your Finance workspace and:

  1. Select Settings.

  2. Select Payout schedule.

  3. Choose a new schedule.

  4. Select Confirm schedule.

Any changes to the payout schedule will apply to all events in your organization that are using Eventbrite Payment Processing. Payouts will begin processing on the next eligible payout date.
