ZEST Robotics

ZEST Robotics are advocates for females in STEM. We aspire to deliverer the best quality engineering, science and robotics education to girls through workshops, events and videos. Not only do we teach STEM, but also the essentials to becoming a learner and a leader.

This is not our first-time teaching and mentoring young girls about robotics and engineering. Internationally, we have collaborated with teams from across the globe as we attended the 2019 FIRST LEGO League World Festival Houston, where we came second place globally and were crowned national champions. Over the course of three years, we’ve attended over 20 immersion days, robotics volunteering events, and collaborated with local universities to deliver high-quality robotics education to young aspiring girls. At state level, we have succeeded in Brisbane Hackathons and GovHack, as well as coming first place in the Mayors Telstra Innovation Award in 2018.

And despite all this, one thing has always been missing. Girls.

We know that engineering, science and technology is the future. And we also know that the future is female. What is important is that we can equip today’s young minds, with the knowledge, skills and confidence that tomorrows leaders, engineers and scientist need. ZEST Robotics is the first stepping stone to a world of opportunity for all girls alike.

Through our mentoring, we strive to deliver the best education, while implementing our important Core Five. The ZEST Core Five summarises the skills and ideas that we value as a company. Those being, resilience, friendly competition, cooperation, challenge and of course, fun. This Core Five is displayed through all our events as we strive to not only mentor young girls but better their understanding of leadership and competition.

ZEST Robotics isn’t just about robotics. It’s about equipping today’s young minds, with the knowledge, skills and confidence that tomorrows leaders, engineers and scientist need. We’re about Girl Power and supporting the achievements of each other. We’re making a change. One girl at a time.
