The Western Australian Screen Academy is situated within the School of Arts and Humanities at Edith Cowan University. We offer a one-year (three semester) intensive program in digital screen production. Our program provides students with industry-level skills, a showreel of production work and a strong analytical and theoretical foundation relating to digital screen production.

We accept a select number of students in the following areas of specialisation: Producing, Directing, Screenwriting, Cinematography, Sound Design and Editing.

A unique feature of the program is our relationship with the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). WAAPA`s costume and sound students from the production and design sector, form the crew of each of the screen academy films and WAAPA`s acting students provide the talent. Many WA Screen Academy films have helped in building successful careers for many well-known actors.
