Universities Admissions Centre

The Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) helps students apply for most undergraduate courses at universities in New South Wales (NSW) and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).

In addition to this, UAC also:

• Handles applications for many postgraduate courses.
• Calculates and provides the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) for NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) students.
• Manages applications for Educational Access Schemes (EAS), which help students who have experienced educational disadvantages.
• Processes applications for certain Equity Scholarships (ES) to support financially disadvantaged students.
• Manages applications for some Schools Recommendation Schemes (SRS), which is an early entry scheme for some institutions and assesses Year 11 grades and a school recommendation.
