Texas Book Festival
The Texas Book Festival connects authors and readers through experiences that celebrate the culture of literacy, ideas, and imagination. While remaining an important showcase for Texas authors, the Texas Book Festival hosts writers from all over the world and is honored to have a national reputation as one of the most prestigious and longest running book festivals in the country. The TBF is proud to present the Festival free of charge, thanks to the generous support of corporate sponsors, foundations, and individuals who believe in the power of reading to change lives.
The Texas Book Festival, the largest book event in Texas and one of the premier literary Festivals in the nation, returns for its 29th year on November 16–17 in downtown Austin! Free and open to all, attendees can look forward to a star-studded lineup of more than 250 authors, engaging programming for all ages, book signings, food trucks, cooking demonstrations, and a Saturday night Lit Crawl in East Austin. Throughout the year, the Texas Book Festival brings Reading Rock Stars to Title I schools in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, the Rio Grande Valley and El Paso. We have given $3.6+ million to Texas public libraries through our Library Grants program.
