Speechly Speaking Services

Speechly Speaking Services is a Melbourne company that helps to train people to become better speakers and communicators.

 

The founders are Darrell and Cleo Pitt.

 

Darrell Pitt is a professional public speaking trainer and writer. A part of Toastmasters International for over ten years, he has helped hundreds of people to become better speakers and communicators. In 2016 he was chosen as the District 73 Toastmaster of the Year. In 2017 he was the Public Relations Manager for Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

In addition to helping others to achieve their public speaking goals, Darrell Pitt is a professional author (BA Creative Writing with Distinction). He has written thirteen novels including the CBCA Notable book, The Firebird Mystery, and the Russell Prize shortlisted novel, A Toaster on Mars.

He is also the author of The Fast Guide to Public Speaking.

 

Cleo Pitt is a qualfied laughter yoga instuctor, as well as being a facilitator in lifestyle and wellbeing programs. She has received Toastmasters Internationals' highest educational recognition, the Distinguished Toastmaster award.

 

She has also been involved in a number of community initiatives. In 2008 she was one of the founders of the Great Illawarra Walk, an initiative that has raised over $600,000 for children's charities.

 

In 2009 she coordinated a Guiness Book of Records attempt for the largest number of people dancing the Time Warp from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. This iniative raised several thousand dollars for Peterborough Special School.
