Social Learning Studio

The Social Learning Studio delivers evidenced based programs in a mindful learning environment to equip young people with the confidence to grow good mental health. Our team of experts across education, social work and psychology deliver Social Learning Studio curricula in-house or in-school.

Connie Buckingham is the Principal Psychologist. For over 15 years, Connie has worked with young people to help them build resilience and better manage their emotions, behaviour and relationships. A PhD candidate with the University of Melbourne, Connie is also author of the Friendship Saver.

The Friendship Saver is an 8 to 12 week social and emotional learning (SEL) program, designed to embed social problem-solving literacy into children's wellbeing tool kits. The program is aligned to the CASEL SEL framework, Department of Education and Training Personal and Social Capability curriculum and National Safe Schools Framework. It is written for educators, school psychologists and school counsellors to rollout independently. A qualified member from the Social Learning Studio team is also available if a school does not have the resources available to implement the program.
