Shannon A Swales
Shannon A. Swales is a Brisbane-based Clinical Psychologist, speaker, and author who supports midlife women navigating chronic stress, burnout, and life transitions.
She is the founder of Midlife Reclaimed — a compassionate ecosystem of resources, community spaces, and guided experiences designed to help women sustain their wellbeing, meaning, and self-leadership through midlife and beyond.
Shannon’s work blends evidence-informed psychology with mindfulness, compassion-based practices, and reflective inquiry. Her approach is gentle, relational, and grounded in lived experience, shaped by her own journey through burnout and reclamation.
Through workshops, guided practice sessions, and community gatherings, Shannon creates spaces where women can pause, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with greater clarity and care — without pressure to fix or optimise.
She is the author of Nothing Left to Give: A Psychologist’s Path Back from Burnout and hosts the Midlife Reclaimed podcast.
