Shane McKeogh is a Cork native however for the last 8 years or so has been living abroad. Now based in sunny Western Australia, Shane chases freedom as much as he does business success.

Following a BBus in Business & Marketing in Cork's own CIT, Shane moved into fitness business sales and management where we honed his craft whilst working in what he loved, fitness. Coming from a solid sales background he used his sales skills to mould fitness brands which he worked for and to ensure business growth. Shane ended up progressing to opening up new clubs for a huge organisation based in Australia, 'The Fitness and Lifestyle group' which own brands like Jetts and Goodlife Health Clubs. Shane became the Regional Business Manager with this brand in a short space of time.

As a result of a growing clubs and fitness brands, along with a rising interest in, and appetite for, personal business growth and expansion, Shane knew something else, something new was needed and a challenge was required. So, in 2015 he set to publish his first Fitness business book which was aimed at those that were not seeing success in the industry and so  ‘The Membership Mindset - Challenges to Change’ was born and published under SAOR Publishing. This went onto be a successful support tool for many fitness business owners and operators and sells online and in store to this day. Naturally this encouraged even further change. Having opened clubs in Australia, contacts in Ireland saw his work and would connect and ask one question. Can you help us grow our business here? He of course answered yes and thus the next phase of SAOR was born.

SAOR Consultancy began trading in 2017. SAOR Consultancy now helps clients in 3 continents and shares best practice across the world. And now Shane and the team at SAOR have decided that enough is enough and they are bringing the SAOR Seminar Series to larger audiences, back where it all started! This version of the SAOR Seminar Series is called 'The Fitness Business Forum', part seminar, part networking and all fitness business growth.

Shane’s aim is to ensure that health based businesses globally are given the tools of success because ultimately as a health based business, the more you sell, the more you help and if we can help you sell more we thus encourage more change locally. We are aiming to remove barriers that seem to be present in the fitness scene where business owners don't often connect or share due to perceived issues such as fear, 'stealing clients' and more. At SAOR we aim to connect. As Shane says "Help your community, you help yourself".
