‘Sandra McArthur explores the notion of our world as an illusion through her photographs and paintings. It is an investigation in time and its relation to a deeper truth of life. She is inspired by photographers Henri Cartier- Bresson,  Minor White, Alfred Stieglitz, writers Proust and Herman Hesse who wrote on the importance of the present moment and  painters Mark Rothko and Gerhard Richter who saw that art could express a moment of truth, a connection to all humanity other than physical’.

As well as developing my own artistic expression I also teach classes in drawing and painting for adults and children on the Central Coast. I also teach business skills for artists through a private consultation service.
