Research and Innovation @ Bendigo Health

Bendigo Health is a leading regional health service, with around 5000 staff and a catchment area covering a quarter of the size of Victoria. The three main campuses of Bendigo Health are in Bendigo, with many services extended to regional settings including areas such as Mildura, Echuca, Swan Hill, Kyneton and Castlemaine.

Bendigo Health’s Research and Innovation (R&I) unit is part of the Innovation and Digitital Services Division and is a busy, diverse and friendly unit comprising a multidisciplinary team who has a wealth of experience and expertise in conducting innovative research and projects within a regional health context.

There is universal agreement that clinical care should be informed by the best available evidence. We know that translating research evidence into clinical practice is essential to safe, effective and efficient health care provision. A positive and proactive research culture is associated with improved organisational performance including improved patient outcomes and satisfaction, reduced staff turnover and improved staff satisfaction, and improved organisational efficiency.
