Who is the PPAQ?

Established in 1928, the Professional Photographer’s Association of Queensland (PPAQ) was founded for professional photography studios and their photographers across Queensland.

Our goal is to qualify our members as Certified Professional Photographers by offering accreditation. This, in turn, assists consumers with a mark of quality assurance when selecting a photographer to provide services that they are in fact hiring an accredited professional.
The PPAQ membership types include Semi-Professionals, Developing Photographers, Students and Enthusiasts who have a love of high-quality photography but are not operating a business.
Digital photography is now the number one hobby in Australia.
Our members can emphasise to their clients that they belong to Queensland’s longest standing association with stringent quality standards required of their membership.

What does the PPAQ do?

The PPAQ provides a platform for education and growth for the professional photography industry in Queensland.

The PPAQ hosts various events and workshops throughout the year to assist photographers in the professional development of their photography skills and to improve their business acumen.

The PPAQ aims to assist photographers to have successful photography businesses that offer consistency in high quality images to the Queensland consumer.
