People with disabilities in Sydney

We are a group of people with disabilities residing in the Sydney area. We are all volunteers. Our aim is to bring the international disability pride movement to Australia and make it mainstream. Disability pride is about celebrating disabled people and protesting our exclusion. We reject shame, stigma and the medical model of disability. Instead we celebrate disabled people as the world's largest and most diverse minority, with our own community, identity and culture. We run events and also participate in advocacy.
