For Michelle Ripari, drawing has been part of life for as long as she can remember. As a child she was always scribbling, drawing, writing and illustrating her own stories. During school she was known for her ability to draw and was often asked to sketch for classmates. In high school she discovered how much she loved drawing portraits when she completed her first of Marilyn Monroe in graphite pencils.

Michelle’s love for drawing was not ignited again for quite a few years due to being injured at work, being a wife and very busy mum of four beautiful children, two boys and two girls. But her family kindly persisted that she pursue art and since then she has not looked back.

Art is an absolute obsession for Michelle and a part of her life that she could not be without. She has to pick up her pencils everyday and draw something. Michelle has always loved graphite and only ventured into working with colour pencils in the last couple of years, which she adores.

Although not been formally trained as an artist and solely self-taught, Michelle is continuously learning and evolving with her skills and technique and is an award winning and published professional artist.
