Melbourne Inner North Performing Arts Academy

The Melbourne Inner North Performing Arts Academy (MINPAA) is a new social enterprise community music school. MINPAA builds communities through the joy of music. MINPAA promotes active community involvement by reaching areas of isolation where music education may otherwise be unavailable with the purpose of supporting social justice, accessibility and well-being.

MINPAA provides diverse arts activities including group and individual instrumentals, vocal, choral, creative movement/dance, yoga, puppetry, and drama for both children and adults 7 days a week.

MINPAA are members of and are collaborating with and supporting arts organisations including Learning Music Australia (LMA), Community Music Victoria (CMV), Creative Victoria (CV) and the Boite Schools Chorus (BSC), which increases the accessibility of music education and choral participation in Victoria and nationwide.

MINPAA prides itself on the diversity of teachers, volunteers, students and parent co-operative demonstrated not only through its inclusive curriculum but also its intended involvement with Aboriginal communities. Our demographics thus far include Australia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Italy, Germany, the USA, Canada, Argentina and Brazil and we look forward to welcoming more cultures into our organization.
