Meanderful Movement

Mien is a somatic integrative coach, clinical dance movement therapist & counsellor in training based in Melbourne. She is also a movement trainer in the GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methods, and trains in Argentine tango. Her movement journey has led through recovery from chronic pain, greater freedom of movement and mind-body-soul attunement. She has inhabited and held diverse and neurodivergent spaces, working with issues of life transitions, burn-out, boundaries and belonging, self-concept and agency, authentic relating, creative embodiment, etc. She is passionate about how creative arts therapies, embodied and cultural practices facilitate healing and wellbeing for individuals, communities and systems, having previously burned out from a career in healthcare, social justice and international development work.
