La Trobe Wildlife Sanctuary

The La Trobe Wildlife Sanctuary is an area of River Red Gum Woodland, dedicated to the conservation and restoration of native Australian flora and fauna.

La Trobe Wildlife Sanctuary has managed this land for over 50 years, and over time has developed the Sanctuary to become a leading educational facility - La Trobe University's Outdoor Laboratory.

La Trobe Wildlife Sanctuary is open to the public from 10am to 3pm Sunday to Friday. There is also an indigenous nursery on site with over 300 species available.
