Kirsten Aspin (BAHons, BAPsych, GradDipEdPrim) is a behaviour therapist, the director of Behaviour2Learn, and co-director of Link2Learn. Kirsten has been working with children with autism and their families and schools for 20 years. Kirsten started as a behaviour therapist on one of the first ABA programs on the Gold Coast. That first little boy and his very driven family sparked a passion which started an amazing journey. Kirsten worked in the UK for six years at TreeHouse School which is a school for children with autism and did a 10 month internship in California with Autism Partnership. This enabled her to return to TreeHouse School in the role of Behavioural Consultant and then return to Australia in 2005 to work with Autism Partnership and help families in Queensland.

In 2012, Kirsten created Behaviour2Learn which is a home-based ABA therapy program that designs behavioural programs and gives ongoing hands-on training to parents and teams of therapists who implement the programs.  This year she has joined with Linda Osman who is a parent of a 5 year old beautiful boy with autism and created Link2Learn. Link2Learn is a training space to help the community be more informed about autism. It also offers training for parents, teachers, support teachers and other professionals in what is the best practice for working with children with autism and how important it is to have high expectations. Next up is Strive2Learn - watch this space :)

Kirsten's mission is to give parents the knowledge, skills and confidence to teach their children and be advocates for them at kindy and school and to work closely with teachers and other professionals to create teams that collaborate well together so we can aim high and achieve the best possible outcome.

It takes a village :)
