Katie McMurray, Owner, KatieMac Publicity

My name is Katie McMurray. I'm passionate about helping business owners to courageously share their experiences, wisdom and knowledge with the world. I help you overcome fear and confusion around authentic profile, blogging, social and digital media.

I’m deeply experienced, highly strategic and sensationally supportive.

EXPERIENCE: Since founding KatieMac Publicity in 1998, I’ve been publicising iconic events (Sydney Writers' Festival, Aust Museum Eureka Prizes, RU OK? Day, Festival of Dangerous Ideas), and partnering business owners and authors to create authentic and powerful public profiles.

TRANSFORMATION and SERVICES: In 2014 I transformed my business to be less reliant on the traditional media campaign model. I now show business owners how to develop an Authentic Voice using my Dangerous Blogging technique, then to leverage immense online opportunities offered online by social, digital and mainstream media.

HISTORY: I supported all of these wonderful influencers to take their voice and profiles to the next level: Anthony Howard (author Human-Centred Leadership), Richard Boele (Banarra Sustainability, now KPMG Banarra), Avril Henry (Avril Henry and Assoc). Valerie Khoo (Australian Writers’ Centre), Catherine Saxelby (Foodwatch), Iggy Pintado (Connection Generation), Paul Gilding (former CEO Greenpeace International and author of The Great Disruption), Sally Arnold (Creating Encores) and many countless more.

BUSINESS OWNER to BUSINESS OWNER: I founded my business nearly twenty years ago. I've survived the major digital disruption to the media and publicity industries. Today my business is flourishing. I’m very excited about what my clients are achieving. I’m ready to share my wisdom and knowledge with you.

I love hearing from business owners who are ready for their next level. If you need a profile to expand your influence and increase your impact, please get in touch directly.
