I have been involved with self-help, peer support groups since 1986. Having suffered lifelong anxiety, leading to alcohol abuse and depression, I have been there and done that.

Experience has taught me how to run a peer support group so that it operates smoothly and people are made to feel comfortable and at ease.

I have no professional counselling skills and it is not my role to offer you medical advice or interfere with any treatment you are currently having.

Everyone in a peer support group is an equal - they are just at different stages in their recovery. I know how hard it is to walk into a room of strangers and will never pressure you into sharing anything you are not ready to.

Our founding group members are also experienced support group members from other organizations and understand how groups work.

You are only ever known by your first name and we are not affiliated with any organization. What you share in the group, stays in the group.
