Francesca de Valence, Founder of I Heart Songwriting Club

Francesca de Valence is an Australian artist, award-winning songwriter, international speaker and educator, and the founder of I Heart Songwriting Club; a global movement inspiring singer-songwriters to creative freedom.

 

She writes a monthly column for Songwriting Magazine (UK), has a fortnightly ABC Radio songwriting segment (AUS) and facilitates songwriting workshops globally (Folk Alliance International (New Orleans, USA), BIGSOUND (Brisbane, AUS), The Music District (Fort Collins, USA), APRA AMCOS (Australia and NZ tour), Irish Music Rights Organisation (Dublin, IRE), Rio Music Market (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), Going Global (New Zealand).

 

Francesca has supported artists including Jimmy Webb, Belinda Carlisle and Deacon Blue and her music can be heard on national radio around Australia, France and Ireland. She has performed at iconic global music venues including The Bitter End (NYC), The Viper Room (LA) and The Ruby Sessions (Dublin), at festivals including Folk Alliance International New Orleans, MOFO (Hobart) and Brisbane Festival, and has even performed a concert in Paris entirely in French language.

 

When she's not on the road, Francesca can be found in her hometown of Brisbane or her creative hub in Paris - eating baguettes and writing songs for her musical and visual experiment du jour.
