Fine Music 102.5

In July 2012, 2MBS-FM re-branded to FINE MUSIC 102.5 – broadcasting the same fine programs, same fine music under the new call sign. FINE MUSIC 102.5

As well as through the usual radio frequency, you can listen to classical music live online anywhere in the world through - http://finemusicfm.com/play.html. You'll also hear jazz, world, folk and other fine genres of music. You'll find us on Sydney digital radio channel FINE MUS.

Fine Music 102.5 is the radio station that some 200,000 Sydneysiders and a world-wide audience tune in to every week for a vibrant mix of classical, jazz and contemporary music.

On Fine Music, you'll hear well-loved masterworks from virtuoso composers, conductors and singers - the likes of Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Ashkenazy, Toscanini, von Karajan, Caruso and Sutherland and many more. You'll also walk the road less travelled with unheralded but truly exceptional artists from around the world.

Our innovative jazz presenters draw a dedicated audience with some of the best jazz airplay in the country. Their eclectic play lists are set against an entertaining and well-informed commentary.

Newer programs such as Celestial Notes, Chamber Masterworks and Sunday Night Concert join long time favourites - Spotlight On, Baroque and Before, Chamber Soiree, Live and Local and Wednesday Night Operas.

Through In Conversation With, you'll hear the stories behind the sounds with Michael Morton-Evans as he gets up close with famous and not-so-famous musicians, composers, conductors as well as those who influence the local and global musical landscape.

And, at Fine Music, you'll find that we don't just play music - we make music.

Our well established Young Virtuoso and Young Composer Awards throw spotlight on tomorrow's stars and, through our donor contributions, offer financial reward to help develop their gifts.

In partnership with Sydney's arts organisations Fine Music 102.5 promotes major draw card events and exceptional niche offerings.

A community broadcaster, Fine Music 102.5 is run by more than 260 volunteers - aided by a handful of employees. The very first Sydney radio station on the FM band, 2MBS-FM changed to Fine Music 102.5 in July 2012.
