What you once knew as the Griffin Festival of the Arts has now become a whole new arty party called FESTIV ARTY in Collie, Western Australia.

Kicking off 8 to 17 September 2017, FESTIV ARTY promises to be biggest arty party ever seen in the South West, with a street fair, art competition, art workshops, street art installation, writers' festival and performing arts.

FESTIV ARTY's fabulous street fair will be great fun for everyone, with face painting, climbing wall, caricaturist, roving fairy storyteller and bouncy castles as well as a street market. Expressions of interest are invited from buskers, stallholders and community organisations wishing to participate in the street fair and live performance.

Everyone has a chance to shine in FESTIV ARTY's huge art competition, with an amazing range of categories, including painting, mixed media, scrapbooking, photography, woodwork, ceramics, sculpture, mosaics and textiles, with special categories for youth arts, crafts, emerging artists and 'out of town' artists.

If you'd like to get arty and crafty yourself, why not head along to one of FESTIV ARTY's free workshops in a range of exciting disciplines.

One of Collie's walls is about to get a makeover with our street art workshop and installation.

If you're into literary arts with a pinch of wanderlust, you'll want to head along one of our FESTIV ARTY writers' festival events, with food and travel authors Ruth Campbell-Hicks and Alistair McGuinness. Junior wordsmiths will love Sean E Avery's entertaining and interactive workshop for children aged 5 to 12.

And back for the first time in many years is FESTIV ARTY's performing arts competition. Talented local singers, dancers, musicians and variety acts will perform in a series of heats for their chance to shine at the FESTIV ARTY Grand Finale.
