Eugenie Lee

Eugenie Lee is an emerging interdisciplinary artist with a focus on medical science and her own persistent pain disease. Lee communicates her narratives through sculptures, installations, new media, painting and performance. Her works humanise the latest neuroscience research in chronic pain by interlacing with subjective patients’ narratives, including her own.

Lee completed her (first class) Honours at Sydney college of the Arts in 2012. Lee is recipient of prestigious Synapse Residency 2015 (ANAT) and Amplify Your Art (AccessibleArts) 2014 which supported her to research with world renown pain scientists at BodyInMind (BIM) UniSA and Centre for Pain Research, Education and Management at Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA). The collaboration with the pain researchers have led her to several exhibitions and presentations at prominent conferences. Since 2014 Lee has been an ambassador for the not-for-profit organisation, Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia, and visiting fellow for Neuroscience Research Australia. Her upcoming collaborative works with pain researchers and other professionals include UniSA, UniQLD, USYD, Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia and NSWhealth (ACI).
