ERS Research Theme

The Environment, Resources & Sustainability Research Theme is designed to draw together multi-disciplinary expertise and develop solutions to real-word problems of global relevance within a local context.

The Theme provides an interdisciplinary setting for individuals, established research groups and external partners to work collaboratively and capitalise on the advantages presented by our unique Tasmanian locality and areas of research excellence. 

Examining how environmental change influences human society, biological diversity and the contributions of ecosystems to human well-being.

Natural Resource Management
Developing new evidence-based approaches to managing natural resources that will support resilient ecosystems, primary production and human communities.

Promoting the social, economic and political determinants of a sustainable future.
