Emma Lovell for Alzheimer's Australia NSW

From the official Alzheimer's Australia event with Inspired Adventures that I will take part in

Travel with us to Tanzania and celebrate World Alzheimer’s Day as we scale the heights of the world’s tallest freestanding mountain, the majestic Kilimanjaro. On this adventure, just over 300 kilometres south of the equator and overlooking neighbouring Kenya, you’ll traverse all sorts of terrain – rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, snow fields and ice cliffs. Climbing ‘Kili’ to reach the summit at Uhuru Peak (5895m) will provide you with unforgettable memories and breathtaking scenery throughout your journey.

At the same time you’ll be supporting the work of Alzheimer’s Australia NSW, the peak body in NSW for people living with dementia, their families and carers. All funds raised through this challenge will support the services they tirelessly provide at no cost to those living with dementia.

To participate, you’ll be required to raise funds over the coming months for the work of Alzheimer’s Australia NSW and then travel to Africa in September 2011 to commence your trek to the top of Africa’s highest mountain.
