Dr Sally Stephenson, Listening to the Past

Sally Stephenson has worked professionally as an oral historian for more than a decade.  She has used oral history to produce documentaries, to provide lively and meaningful text for interpretive panels in museums and on heritage walks and for sound installations in museums.  She has also used oral history interviews to provide critical information about the living history of places to inform urban renewal and landscape design (for example at Tonsley and Bowden in South Australia).  She has undertaken projects for Australian Federal and State Government departments, local councils, the South Australian Maritime Museum, local museums and community groups.  She is a member of Oral History Australia.

Sally regularly presents workshops for Oral History Australia SA/NT on a range of topics.
