Dr Maxine Therese

Dr Maxine Thérèse is leading expert in Children’s Wellbeing and the founder of ChildosophyTM – a complete philosophy and affirmative approach to children’s needs.

Maxine’s work is supported by the latest scientific research, philosophy, and psychology as well as her own extensive clinical experience.  Maxine’s doctoral research presented the Foundational Needs Model, which accounts for the complex interplay of the emotional, mental, psychological, spiritual and physical dimensions of children’s lives drawing on Chakra theory.

Maxine works with adults as well to identify what they (really) need when their life speaks of imbalance - those needs that they have not been able to fully see because the origin lays in childhood or from an unknown past.

Maxine's professional, academic and personal life has been guided by a push to find better ways to assist the development of children, which is, in essence, the beginning for us all. She also speaks at various events, conducts practitioner training and parenting seminars in Childosophy, and consults with children and adults in her Geelong-based practice.  Maxine is also proudly the mother of two adult sons.
