Bourkie (Craig) Hammond has been developing Indigenous Programs at the FAC for 14 years. He has taken part in research projects around Australia involving Indigenous communities in NSW, NT, QLD, SA, VIC & TAS and worked in Aboriginal controlled organisations for 10 years as a youth worker. As a Board member Awabakal Local Aboriginal Land Council and current member of Land Council and Awabakal Aboriginal Newcastle Co-operative he has been involved in community development. As a manager player and coach of Newcastle Emus Rugby League Football club over 20 years he has established close connections with the young men in our community.
Mr Darren (Charlie) Faulkner
Senior Clinical Counsellor, Wiyiilin ta, Hunter New England Area Health
Charlie (Darren) Faulkner is from the Kamilaroi mob and has been working with Aboriginal children and families for the past 15 years in the Awabakal (Newcastle) and Worimi (Port Stephens) countries. His clinical work with young men, experience as a coach, manager and player in Aboriginal sports and his role as Chairman, Awabakal Newcastle Aboriginal Co-operative give him a deep understanding of the lives of young men as they become fathers.

Richard researches fathers’ mental health, attachment, coparenting, rough and tumble play and use of services. He is Principal Investigator of and for Aboriginal fathers. He is editor of the Fatherhood Research Bulletin
