Collaboration for Impact is Australia’s leading organisation for enabling people to tackle big, tough problems and create large scale impact through collaboration.

We were established four years ago with a vision to build Australia’s capacity to respond to the entrenched and complex challenges we face as a nation—tough problems like social disadvantage, childhood vulnerability, youth unemployment, poverty, crime ...

Our inspiration for collaboration comes from knowing that the causes of these problems are multi-faceted and interconnected. Because of this, no one sector, organisation, program or person can possibly achieve change on their own.

The only way forward is to disrupt the fragmented, predetermined, single policy approaches and start working together.

Collaboration for Impact partners with leaders and collaborations to build their capacity to create large-scale impact.  Making progress in complex problems takes time.  For this reason, we walk with initiatives over the long term – providing the right level and type of support depending on their needs.

  • When we partner with initiatives, we:
  • Develop leaders and groups by strengthening their collaborative leadership and practice
  • Provide strategic thinking and critical advice on collaboration stages, design, challenges and dynamics
  • Help build the infrastructure needed for collaboration, learning and systems change.
  • Support the use of data, facilitated learning and measurement of progress and impact

Our role is not to do the work the required, but to support leaders and collaborators to understand, design and do the work themselves – ensuring the skills are developed and grown within the initiative.

CFI also designs and delivers a Calendar of Learning Programs and Events, to build the capability and capacity of individuals, groups and collaborations to progress their important work. At the forefront of developing skills and experience on collaboration and collective impact in Australia.

CFI’s team bring over four decades of skills and experience in collaboration in complexity and leadership for social change.
