Trust for Nature and Bush Heritage Australia

Trust for Nature protects Victoria’s most threatened native plants and wildlife on private land for future generations. They are one of Australia’s oldest conservation organisations, established by an Act of the Victorian Parliament in 1972. Together with 1,400 conservation covenants across Victoria and 43 reserves, they have protected more than 100,000 hectares in the state. They have the power to protect land by working with landowners to place voluntary conservation covenants on private land, ensuring native plants and animals have a place to live forever. As a not-for-profit organisation they rely on the generous support of the public to protect nature.

When you donate to Bush Heritage, your money is being spent in Australia, for all Australians. There are close to 2,000 animals and plants on Australia’s threatened species list. Bush Heritage steps in where needed most to protect all species on its reserves. They respect, listen and learn from working side-by-side with Traditional Owners, and by working in partnership with pastoralists and other organisations to have the most impact. Together, we’re returning the bush to good health.
