Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation

ARPC is a Public Financial Corporation established by the Terrorism Insurance Act 2003 to administer the terrorism reinsurance scheme, providing primary insurers with reinsurance for commercial property and associated business interruption losses arising from a declared terrorist incident.

ARPC will also operate a reinsurance pool for cyclones and cyclone related flood damage under the Terrorism and Cyclone Insurance Act 2003. The pool opens to insurers on 1 July 2022. Consumer policyholders, for eg, homeowners with insurance policies, are NOT required to join the pool
