Atelier Crothers

Darren, now living in Bendigo studied Fine Art at the Julian Ashton Art School, Sydney, in 1995. Under the tutelage of artists such as Francis Giacco, Nigel Thomson and Paul Delprat, Darren won the prestigious Brett Whiteley scholarship. In 1996 he became a teaching assistant to Francis Giacco whilst studying with Graeme Inson, the prote'ge' of the tonal impressionist Max Meldrum. Since then, Darren has won the Alice Bale travelling scholaship and has been a finalist in the Archibald among other accolades. Classes are conducted at the Artists studio, Atelier Crothers.
