Since 1952, Anglesea SLSC has been an active member of the local community, patrolling the beaches, providing sport and recreation, skill development and offering frontline first aid and emergency services.
ASLSC has over 2000 members, the largest amongst Victorian clubs.
ASLSC is at the forefront of lifesaving services. Each summer club members perform between 10 and 30 rescues and over 400 preventative actions.
ASLSC has Australia's largest training and development program. The club awarded more than 220 Bronze Medallions last year and more than 700 other awards. It is recognised as the developer of an integrated pathway of development that nurtures, skills and retains the teenagers and adults who join the club.
ASLSC runs Victoria’s largest Nipper (age 6 to 13) programs in January with additional activities throughout the year. This program is complimented with specific development programs for our 14 to 17 year old members to assist their integration into the senior area of the Club.
