Alcoa Australia has been operating as an integrated baxite miner and alumina producer in the south-west of Western Australia since 1963.
Our two bauxite mines (Huntly and Willowdale) and three alumina refineries (Kwinana, Pinjarra and Wagerup) are among the world's best operations of their kind and add considerable value to the nation, state and local economies.
Our operations produce about 45% of Australia's alumina. We value our place in the local Western Australian communities where we operate and where we directly employ about 3,800 people.
Alcoa is committed to sharing information and considering feedback about our plans, studies and management strategies throughout our environmental assessment process.
