ACDP Capoeira Australia

Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian cultural practice, an art form that involves sport, body expression, music and tradition.  It is a great physical activity for both kids and adults: it helps developing their balance, coordination, general fitness, flexibility, sense of rhythm and awareness of their bodies. Training Capoeira builds self-esteem and helps people to develop a sense of identity as an individual, as a member of the community.

ACDP Capoeira Australia is a nonprofit organization that teaches and promotes Capoeira. Capoeira encourages respect and social integration between heterogeneous individuals and communities. ACDP was founded in 1973 in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) by Mestre Pantera. Since 2015, Prof. Camaleão has been teaching capoeira in the southern suburbs of Melbourne (currently teaching in Elsternwick).
