ABC Radio provides programming of both a broad and specialist nature. It broadcasts to 99% of the Australian population via analogue and digital radio, and is available online and through social media. 

ABC Radio produces both local and national content to appeal to and reflect metropolitan and national audiences. It is heard by 4.8 million listeners per week across the five surveyed capital cities.

ABC Radio platforms include ABC Local Radio, which provides localised news, information, emergency coverage and entertainment in the eight capital cities; three national networks—RN, ABC Classic FM and triple j; DAB+ digital-only radio networks Double J, triple j Unearthed, ABC Jazz, ABC Country, ABC Grandstand and ABC Extra (special events), as well as ABC Classic 2, an online stream of classical music performed by Australian musicians. Double J and ABC Jazz can also be found via digital television. 

ABC Regional broadcasts on 47 local radio stations around Australia and ABC NewsRadio, managed by ABC News, is Australia’s only 24 hour radio news network. A total of 19 services are available on the ABC Radio App (ioS and Android) and there are individual apps for triple j and triple j unearthed.
