A forager's heart & Brightside Produce

Jenni Gough aka “A forager’s heart” is a culinary creative. Currently residing in Canberra, Jenni is a keen cook, traveller and lover of gatherings. She has a background in art history, social research and crafting meals that focus on local produce, memory and community.

Brightside Produce is Emily Yarra and Michael Kobier. They are a young couple giving biological regenerative farming a go in the Canberra region.

Brightside Produce is nestled between the beautiful Tinderry Mountains to the West and Tallaganda State Forest to the East, about an hour and 20 minutes South-East of Canberra. Emily and Michael farm at around 950 metres above sea level in a cool-temperate climate and produce a diverse range of heirloom vegetables on under and acre of land. They also have free range laying hens on their pasture.

Their interest in learning to farm grew out of our travels in North America and Europe, where they spent a year volunteering on various different types of organic farms. They both really enjoyed being outside and working with their hands and the sense of satisfaction that they got from watching things grow. For them, farming for a living provides a positive and proactive way to help build community and the environment.

They are committed to stewarding our land in a way that builds soil, protects the native ecosystem and leaves it better for the next generation.
