BANC - Benevolent Artists National Charity
Co-founded by philanthropist JC Carter and Quiet Riot’s Rudy Sarzo, BANC’s performances feature some of North America’s greatest rock musicians and special guests, including Emmylou Harris, Tom Cochrane, Brett Kissel, and Randy Bachman. Since 2015, BANC has raised upwards of $8.4 million and has dedicated its efforts to supporting community initiatives through performances at iconic venues. BANC has also contributed to the National Music Centre facilities in Calgary, AB, and BANC has also partnered with many charities, including Little Warriors, The Brandon Flock Foundation, Alberta Cancer Foundation, Hollow Bone Healing Lodge, MusiCares, Y.E.S.S, Calgary
Youth Police Foundation, Emmylou Harris’ initiative Bonaparte’s Retreat, Impact Society, and The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund. In 2022, funds raised at events in Calgary and Edmonton went towards supporting the Stardale Women’s Group, Impact Society, and Calgary Police Youth Foundation. Edmonton’s 2022 benefit contributed to The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, demonstrating BANC’s unwavering commitment to making a difference.
