Sa-Art Studio
Sa-Art Studio founder, Shar Weber-Smith has been an educator and creative for over 30 years in public, private schools and NGO's in Australia and South East Asia. Creativity through visual art and illustration has been an embedded part of her life and work in primary education. She began learning about printmaking techniques from batik masters and master printmakers in Kalimantan Timur, Java and Bali between 2015-2024 and decided to make this a dominant part of her life upon her return to Australia in mid 2025. Shar has continued to experiment with lithography, lino prints and mono prints from her shed studio using locally found materials and employs the use sustainable principles where possible. In 2026, Shar will begin offering a range of print making 'Inklings' workshops for various ages and abilities using kitchen lithography, CD etching, monoprinting, tetrapack printing, collagraphy, printed artist books and textile printing. Watch this Event Brite space as she continues to develop her print making practice and offer new workshops in the future.
