Started by a Melbourne local who’d been to a Timeleft dinner and a Thursday Dating event — and, after growing tired of dating apps, thought: why isn’t there something like this for dog people?
Yappy Hour is a relaxed, old-school way to meet new people — no pressure, no expectations. Just regular catch-ups with a bunch of friendly strangers and even friendlier dogs. Because honestly, what better icebreaker is there than a wagging tail? And the best part? You don’t even need a dog to join — all dog lovers are welcome.

Just grab a ticket on Eventbrite and show up — dogs, coffee, and good company await. We pop up in parks, beaches. cafes and bars across Melbourne’s North, South, East and West. Each event’s secret location is revealed the day before. Think of it as a little local adventure — with dogs.
