2024 Domestic Tuition Protection Levy Consultation

The Tuition Protection Service (TPS) is an Australian Government initiative which supports international students and eligible domestic students whose education providers are unable to fully deliver their course of study. The TPS supports affected students to continue their studies in a replacement course, or receive a refund or loan re-credit for education and training they paid for but did not receive.The TPS collects four tuition protection levies annually from international and domestic education providers. The levies are paid into sector-based quarantined accounts and are used to fund the student placement, refund, and loan re-credit activities of the TPS, as well as TPS operational costs.
