Event description

Description

To mark Zonta International's '16 Days of Activism', members of the Zonta Club of Pine Rivers are holding a 4 km community walk to raise awareness of violence against women.

In 2017, during its 16 Days of Activism, Zonta will focus on human trafficking. Almost every country in the world is affected by human trafficking, either as a country of origin, transit or destination for victims - the vast majority of whom are women and girls.

When: 7am start, Sunday 26 November

Where: Leaving from the eastern end of Petersen Road, Camp Mountain (opposite number 83). We will then follow the 'Ferny Grove Rail Trail' bike path to 247 Lanita Road, Ferny Hills. A sausage sizzle will be served at the end of the walk.

All donations to the cause much appreciated on the day.

If you would like to donate but are unable to make the walk, you can donate directly to:

  • Zonta Club of Pine Rivers Inc
  • BSB: 633-000
  • Account: 123 710 980

For more information call Sharlene on 0414 232 571.
