Zonta Club of Brisbane Breakfast is delighted to be hosting a White Ribbon Day breakfast with speaker Chiu-Hing Chan who is Chairman, White Ribbon Queensland & National Board Director, White Ribbon Australia.
Chiu-Hing was Young Queenslander of the Year in 2009 and is the Australia China Corporation managing director, Vice Chairman & CEO of the Australian Chinese General Chamber of Business and is also the Chairman of the Brisbane Chinatown Committee.
A solicitor, government consultant and corporate director, Chiu-Hing is an appointee to the Queensland Civil & Administrative Tribunal and to the Queensland Law Society's International Relations & Law Committee. Mr Chan is a solicitor admitted in the High Court of Australia and the Queensland Supreme Court.
Chiu-Hing is the China Market Consultant for the Federal Government's Rural Industries Research & Development Corporation (RIRDC) and sits on the board of the Australian Camel Industry Association and an Honorary Board member for the Australian Sugar Industry Museum.
Age 29, he became the youngest appointed Honorary Teaching Fellow with the University of Queensland - Confucius Institute.
He was a member of the Prime Minister's Multicultural Media Roundtable in 2011 and was an appointee by the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) as the Australian Representative to the Shanghai World Expo - Youth Summit in 2010.
At age 24, Chiu-Hing was the youngest appointed committee executive to the Australian Institute of Company Director - Gold Coast Branch and the Queensland Olympic Council's Beijing Olympic Committee.
Chiu-Hing has a Master degree in Journalism, Bachelor degrees in Law & International Relations and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practise from Bond University.
